Indriya breathes life into heritage stories in modern expression on the runway, teaming with the visionary couturier Amit Aggarwal as their official jewellery partner.
At the intersection of time-honored craft and contemporary expression, Indriya – Aditya Birla Jewllery unveiled the soul of Indian craftsmanship on the runway, partnering with visionary couturier Amit Aggarwal to debut ‘Orizon’ at Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI. In a breathtaking showcase, we redefined the narrative of Indian jewellery, proving that heritage is not a silhouette of the past, but a powerful, living source of empowerment. This wasn't just a runway show; it was an immersive journey from introspection to radiance, celebrating the modern Indian woman who carries her roots with an effortless, contemporary grace.
A Dialogue of Form: The Amit Aggarwal Collaboration
The spirit of Orizon found its perfect architectural counterpart in the sculptural couture of Amit Aggarwal. Known for his mastery of structure and sustainable innovation, the collection utilized signature upcycled Banarasi weaves and intricate mirror work to create a fluid, metallic canvas.
The garments served more than just a backdrop; they were in constant dialogue with the jewellery. Where Aggarwal’s silhouettes pushed the boundaries of textile engineering, our pieces grounded the look in soulful artistry, creating a unified narrative of transformation and modern allure.
Mastery in Motion: Indriya’s Craftsmanship
At the heart of the showcase was a bold re-interpretation of Polki. We sought to liberate these traditional stones from their heavy, conventional settings, focusing instead on light, colour, and weightlessness.
Our master kaarigars introduced the samosa dart setting, a distinctive technique where the angular structure beneath each stone acts as a prism, heightening brilliance into an ethereal glow. By employing innovative wall-prong and corner-bezel settings, we minimized the appearance of metal, allowing rare gemstones—vivid tanzanites, rich rubies, and South Sea pearls—to appear almost suspended in air. This technical mastery ensures that every piece is not just an ornament, but an experiential work of art.
The Muse: Disha Patani
Embodying the powerful essence of Orizon, Disha Patani graced the runway as our showstopper. Adorned in a captivating masterpiece that married traditional Polki with contemporary geometry, she moved with a luminous confidence that brought the collection theme to life. Paired with a sculptural Amit Aggarwal ensemble, her presence perfectly captured the "Orizon" woman—rooted in tradition, yet fearlessly moving forward
Beyond the Spotlight: The Collection’s Depth
While the showstopper dazzled, the runway unfolded a complete visual narrative:
Minimalist Illumination: The show opened with refined diamond compositions, capturing the first hints of morning light through clean, geometric lines.
The Interplay of Color: Statement pieces followed, featuring "kissing" Polki elements layered over carved gemstones, adding a sense of intimacy and three-dimensional depth.
Modern Fluidity: Heavy gold forms were reimagined into flexible, wearable couture that moved with the body, proving that high jewellery can be as fluid as the woman wearing it.
The Indriya Circle: Influencers & Visionaries
The front row was as luminous as the runway, featuring a curated circle of tastemakers who embody the Indriya spirit. Global fashion icon and ‘Inde Wild’ founder Dipa Khosla, trendsetter Juhi Godambe, Niki Mehra & Amyra Dastur, and celebrated stylist Rhea Kapoor joined us, each styling Indriya in their own distinct, [MG1] contemporary way. Their presence underscored Indriya’s position at the center of the modern Indian fashion conversation—where styling is personal, and jewelry is a hallmark of individual identity.
Indriya’s debut at Lakme Fashion Week invited the world to sense the divine where craft met couture. A breathtaking ode to heritage, the evening was a visual narrative of transformation—where Amit Aggarwal’s sculptural silhouettes met our luminous Polki and diamond mastery. It celebrated the modern woman, rooted yet radiant, proving that tradition reimagined doesn't just survive—it illuminates.
