TERMS & CONDITIONS – “SPOT THE LARGEST MADHUBANI PAINTING” CONTEST
1. Applicability: These Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) govern participation in the “Spot the Largest Madhubani Painting” Contest (“Contest”) conducted by Novel Jewels Limited (“NJL” / “Indriya”).
2. Agreement to Terms & Conditions: By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by these T&C.
3. Eligibility: The Contest is open only to individuals who satisfy all of the following conditions:
a. Must be 18 years of age or above;
b. Must be a resident of India (except residents of Tamil Nadu and wherever prohibited by law);
c. Must possess a valid public Instagram account during the Contest Period;
d. Must comply with the participation requirements mentioned herein.
Participant profiles/posts/stories must remain publicly viewable at least until completion of winner verification.
Employees of the Aditya Birla Group, its affiliates, advertising agencies, vendors, partners, and their immediate family members shall not be eligible to participate in the Contest.
No purchase or payment is necessary to participate in the Contest.
4. Contest Period: The Contest shall commence on 7th June 2026 and shall conclude on 15th June 2026 (“Contest Period”). Entries received outside the Contest Period shall not be considered.
5. How to Participate:
To participate in the Contest, participants must:
a. Visit the designated Indriya Madhubani painting installation/event location;
b. Click a selfie/photo with the Madhubani painting;
c. Post the same on Instagram with the following hashtag: #LargestMadhubaniPainting
d. Tag the official Indriya Instagram handle in the post/story; and
e. Comply with all Contest requirements during the Contest Period.
Incomplete, invalid, fraudulent, misleading, offensive, defamatory, obscene, unlawful, infringing, discriminatory, inappropriate or offensive entries may be disqualified at the sole discretion of NJL.
Submission of an entry does not guarantee reposting, publication, winner selection or any commercial use by NJL.
6. Contest Prize: One (1) lucky winner per day shall be selected through a randomization process during the Contest Period.
Each selected winner shall receive one (1) 200 mg gold coin (“Prize”) from NJL/Indriya, subject to these T&C.
The design, specifications, packaging, and availability of the gold coin shall be determined solely by NJL.
The Prize:
· is non-transferable;
· cannot be exchanged for cash or alternate products; and
· is subject to applicable laws and internal verification requirements.
All applicable taxes, levies, duties or statutory liabilities arising in connection with the Prize shall be borne solely by the winner.
7. Winner Selection Process:
a. Eligible entries shall be compiled by the NJL team on a daily basis for the purpose of conducting the random winner selection process.
b. Winners shall be selected through a randomized electronic selection process.
c. The randomization process shall be recorded for internal audit and verification purposes.
d. NJL reserves the right to disqualify entries generated through bots, fake accounts, automated means, bulk participation or any fraudulent methods.
e. NJL’s decision regarding winner selection shall be final and binding.
8. Winner Announcement & Contact:
a. Winners may be contacted through Instagram, phone, email, WhatsApp, or any other mode deemed appropriate by NJL.
b. Failure to respond within the timeline communicated by NJL or failure to claim the prize within 30 days from the date of winner notification may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.
c. NJL reserves the right to request identity proof, age proof, and any other documents prior to prize distribution.
9. Intellectual Property & Publicity:
By participating in the Contest, participants grant NJL a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual right to repost, publish, use, reproduce, display, adapt, and share the participant’s submitted content, photographs, username, likeness, voice, and statements for promotional, advertising, marketing, and publicity purposes across any media platform without additional compensation.
Participants represent that:
1. they own or have rights to the content uploaded by them;
2. the content does not infringe third-party rights; and
3. the content does not violate any applicable laws.
NJL reserves the right to remove or report any entry that violates applicable laws or platform policies.
10. Representation Regarding the Madhubani Painting:
Any references made by NJL regarding the Madhubani painting being “record-breaking”, “largest” or similar expressions are based on internal assessments and publicly available information at the time of publication.
NJL does not represent or warrant accreditation, certification or recognition by Guinness World Records or any other authority unless expressly stated.
11. Platform Disclaimer: This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.
12. General Terms:
a. Participation in the Contest is voluntary.
b. NJL reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants.
c. NJL reserves the right to disqualify any participant found tampering with the Contest process or acting in violation of these T&C.
d. NJL shall not be responsible for:
i. technical failures;
ii. network/server issues;
iii. delayed or failed entries;
iv. Instagram platform disruptions; or
v. any unauthorized intervention affecting participation.
e. NJL reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, extend, or withdraw the Contest at any time without prior notice and without liability.
f. NJL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of participation in the Contest or use of the prize.
g. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless NJL and its affiliates against any claims arising out of breach of these T&C or misuse of the Contest.
h. NJL shall not be liable for cancellation, suspension, delay, or modification of the Contest due to causes beyond its reasonable control including acts of God, governmental restrictions, technical failures, public emergencies, or force majeure events.
13. Limitation of Liability: By participating in the Contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless NJL, its affiliates, officers, employees, agencies, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or relating to participation in the Contest or acceptance/use of the prize.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These T&C shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
15. Disclaimer: Residents of the State of Tamil Nadu and any other jurisdictions where such contests are prohibited by law shall not be eligible to participate in the Contest.
